  • Is the claim that technology, such as AI and machine learning, will dehumanise the workplace leading to less inclusive workplaces valid?
  • Why are terms such as digital trust and digital bias top of mind for many?

Technology is transforming the way we work and how we communicate and engage with our colleagues and customers.  Sue will take you on a journey to unpack the topic of “Digital Diversity” providing strategies and tools to utilise technology to enhance inclusion and the human experience for all.

Speaking Topic: Merging Soft Skills into your Digital Transformation.

“Harden up by getting soft!” Sue Johnston, 2020.

Sue’s passion lies in developing the ‘soft skills’ (often the hard skills) needed to thrive in all areas of our life, particularly during digital transformation.

She understands the need for organisations and their teams to be on the “front foot” of digital transformation.

She has recently co-created content with Oracle Corporation for the University of Adelaide on the topic of ‘Digital Transformation and the Client Experience’ incorporating AI and machine learning to explore what’s possible with technologies such as digital assistants and the effective use of cloud computing and data to transform human interactions and customer engagement.

She is also a facilitator with Executive Education at the University of Adelaide on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion and has a special interest in the navigation of “digital diversity” (both people and machines!) that makes up the workforce and the impact this has on organisations.

Sue has served on not-for-profit boards and committees and she recently did a stint as an academic at the University of Adelaide, heading up the Professional Practices course, for the Faculty of the Professions.  Her mission was to prepare the Commerce, Law and Business undergraduates for the jobs and workplaces of the future with communication and soft skills being front and centre.

Sue’s style is engaging, informative and she believes a sense of humour never goes astray when communicating the complex.  Participation from the audience is also welcome!

  • Technologies such as AI and machine learning are becoming normalised in the workplace, what does this look like now and in the future and how does it impact leadership?

These are just some of the points that will be addressed in this focused and interactive workshop. Participants will gain useful strategies to achieve clarity around developing their own personal vision for all areas of their life. Focus is directed at how to bring to fruition what they really want to achieve in life. We will also look at how to overcome roadblocks to living powerfully and with purpose.

The workshop will offer a hands-on opportunity for participants to create their own “Personal Empowerment Board” that will provide a roadmap to take them from a vision to the actioning stage and making things happen.

Participants will have a personal journey and for the best results are encouraged to be prepared to reflect, be forward looking, action-minded – and most importantly open to a bit of fun along the way.
